October 2005 - NEWSLETTER

Dear Cross Stitcher,

We had a lovely time at the NEC - Birmingham and met so many lovely people,

one being Leslie Giles. Leslie was delighted with her name sampler for 'Fisherman Ray' and as we had a stitched sample of 'Ray' on the wall she agreed (with a little persuasion) to have her photo taken.

Leslie said that as soon as she had finished 'Ray' she would be ordering another - so come on Leslie get stitching!

We also met Ginny Hickmott's Mum, she told us how Ginny had broken her arm since ordering her name for 'WILLIAM'. Apparently she was so delighted when her name sampler arrived she asked a neighbour to rewrap it for her so her Mum could have the pleasure of opening it again!

The nights are drawing in, an ideal time to get that cross stitch out and curl up in front of the fire. There is still plenty of time to plan that unique cross stitch gift and get it stitched in time for Christmas. This is our Christmas list and what we would stitch.

New Design this month - 'Grandchildren are special'

Last month we mentioned Anne from Cheadle who asked us to design a kit for her friend who had seven grandaughters. We have charted it in such a way that we can adapt this design to suit any number or combination of grandchildren.

If you have Grandchildren this sampler is just for you. As you know Grandchildren are special and we will design a sampler for you with as many children as you wish, boys or girls and chart their names & dates of birth.

We think it's a lovely idea we hope you do too.
