Dear Cross Stitcher,
I've just come back from Joy's cottage. A bush (very prickely) that was supposed to be climbing her front wall has been blown down in the night and is blocking the road (Joy lives on a 1:4 hill which is just about wide enough to fit one car). Needless to say - we left Steve struggling whilst we had our morning business meeting (chat) over a cup of green tea!
It looks like we are going to have the long cold winter ahead. So light the fire, get out your stitching and make the most it. Joy has been doing just that; she has been stitching a new design-featuring Emperor Penguins. It is going to be attached to a small tote bag and sold as a set kit for £22.00. We think the Penguins are adorable and we hope you do too.
I'm preparing for my 11 year son's birthday party. He's having a sleepover. Last time he had a sleep over with his friends they forgot to go to sleep!!! AUUUGGHH!!!! - Why can't I say NO!

The idea for this months design came from Joys' Cousin-In-Law (Steves' Cousin) Janet. She ordered a name sampler for her husband 'ROB' - he is mad about Emperor Penguins. When Joy had finished designing them we thought that they were so good we would offer them as a set kit.
